About Blair Gibb
My fascination with fractals began over thirty years ago. I started generating images from the Mandelbrot Set in all eight colors I had available!
Technology has changed but my interest has only grown. I have modified my program over the years, learned new techniques both for generating fractals and for using them to create new images. I am sure you will find something you like!
I have categorized my images by general appearance – what I think they may resemble. You are free to see what you want in the images, but you can use the galleries as a starting point.
The Layered Fractals gallery is a collection of fractal images that have been blended to create new images. Lots of color and imagination. Check this one out!
The Mid-Century Modern collection is a set of images that remind me of art from the mid-20th century in some way: either by color palette or form. These were lots of fun to make and may not look like what you think of as fractal!
There was a time when paintings were done on black velvet. Very dramatic and colorful! The On Black Velvet gallery contains images that evoke the spirit of the images I saw as a child in Tijuana. Sorry, no Elvis!
Botanicals resemble organic forms and evoke feelings of something you’ve seen before. These are more familiar to fractal lovers!
Bold or subtle. Dramatic or soft. There is something for everyone in the Black & White gallery.
The Portraits gallery is a set of images that stand out with a colorful background.
The name is a little silly, but the images are some of my favorites. Clouds are fractal, and some of these images seem to float out of a colorful sky. Fractals in the Mist Should not be missed!
